M.Y Wedding

I wake up at 6.30am and luckily, no eye bags and eyes look quite fresh. I start with the following preparations: 1) Put on eye mask - 10 mins 2) Put on contact lens 3) Put on eye drops (to make the eyes fresher) 4) Put on wedding gown (including stockings - so that i dun have to change when wearing the teadress later) 5) Take ginseng pills (for energy) At 7am Auntie suddenly arrive at our house (she is always early bird) and we are still in a frenzy. We manage to finish our morning preps and my photographer arrive at 7.50am. My makeup artist arrive at 8.10am and started my makeup session. At 8.40am M arrive and makeup artist just finish makeup but haven't tie on the veil yet. Last minute preparations!.. Stressed! Wednesday, My Jie Mei M.Y sms me that she cannot get a flight back from Indonesia in time, she can only help at the wedding dinner but not in the day. I was so panic and stressed cos so last minute how to get a replacement?.. But i also cannot blame M.Y cos she is really a good friend so unlikely to saboo me. So i called one of my colleagues to help me but she got exams so can't help. Then another colleague S overheard our tele-conversation and offered to help me. Actually me and S had arguments in the past and relationship is not very good but recently has became better as S is getting married and I have been offering her some advice. Moreover S is willing to get a pink dress to match my Jie Mei's dressing theme so I rope her in. Me also stressed cos i need to rush off to my eyebrows trimming appointment and only manage to clear my work before my long leave. 1 week to go..! Last week has been a hectic week. On monday, M and myself went to t-dragon to purchase extra pink envelopes and ribbons. As my company culture is give card first (they dun rsvp before giving cards), I have to give out more cards. Some colleagues reply not coming after receive invitation cards. M say i wasted the invitation cards bec' he will check with his colleagues first before giving out cards. But my company culture is more traditional, what to do mah. M keep saying i waste the invitation cards, i listen liao also sian, especially when he run out of invitation cards now and has to reprint again. I told him if he is so unhappy i can pay for the extra printing, but he doesn't want me to. On Wednesday, we initally have an appointment with our hotel coordinator but she cancelled last minute. We still hang out at City Hall area. M is concerned about the short timing for tea ceremony at his house and he is worried that his relatives may not turn up on time. Dun kn...

Recent updates: 1) Sending out invitation cards Have to wait for lunar 8 mth to start before i can send the invitation cards, so basically left only 3 weeks b4 customary to send the invitations. I completed writing about 80 invitation cards in 1 day including tying the ribbons. The ribbons are hard to tie and several times i need to re-tie to acheive better results. After many tries, i get better at tying though and can tie faster. Wasted some invitation card as write wrongly leh. I think we may not have enough invitation cards to send as basically, we have more solo guests (colleagues and friends) to invite than relatives (who usually bring their whole family so need only 1 invitation card to invite whole family). I have already told M to print more invitation cards initially but he wanted to save money so haiz.. On friday lunar 8 mth, i spend some hours sending invitation cards to my colleagues. Hello! Phew, finally i have some time to update this blog. So busy these few weeks with work and wedding preparations. I have been so busy with the recent condo launch and annual budget exercise in our company that I have been knocking off at 9pm/10pm over the last 3 weeks. Practically has no time to do any wedding preps.. and over stressed. Travel We booked our travel package at the travel fair. About $2K plus for each person. I helped pay $1K - the deposit. Also apply for 2 days extension. After applying for leave, left only 2 days for this year! It is all bec' of company policy lor, cannot accumulate leave thus not enough leave for holiday. Looks like i dun even have enuff leave to do my wedding preps. Montage Recent weekends we have been doing the wedding montage (to play at the wedding dinner) at our new house. We use the Ulead video maker program. It is quite pro and quite simple to use once u grasp the theory. Sometimes, i work on the montage until midnight over the weekends...

Our preparations outstanding at this moment:- 1) Xiong di - have to co-opt some more as one of the xiong di informed that he cannot help on our customary day. M said that most of his friends are ored married so not easy to find unmarried ones. 2) Wedding cards - tdragon informed that they have finished printing the invitation cards. However, we haven't order the ribbons from them and we still need time to tie the ribbon. 3) Honeymoon trip - We are considering few venues and hope that got enuff money and time to go for a nice long trip. So far, the departure dates for October are not released yet. Forecast to spend about $2.5K for each person (total $5K for both of us).
